‘I wouldn’t say I started a trend,’ Kim says in the wake of her butt going viral.
Kim Kardashian doesn’t really care if you like her nude photos because she was only posing for one person.
The reality star finally spoke out about her famous Paper magazine pics while making an appearance on Australian TV’s “The Project.” Reacting to those who think she’s setting a poor example with the full frontal photos, Kim said she did it for herself.
“I was so honored and excited to work with [photographer Jean-Paul Goude] because he is a legend, and for me that was something I wanted to do to make myself feel confident,” she explained. “To each his own … as a role model I’m not saying anyone else should do that, but for me I looked at it as it was and it was an art project. This was something that was going to make me feel confident and feel good, and it taught me to do what you want to do. Everyone should do what they are comfortable with.”
She continued, “I’m never one to preach, but I felt really positive and really good about myself. I love the photos, I did it for me. I hope other people like them.”
Kim also revealed that she personally had no plans to “break the internet” and that it was the magazine that came up with strategy and “came up with the headline.” But she admitted she had every intention of posing nude. In fact, she even warned us.
“I actually looked back at a clip from last year’s “Keeping Up With the Kardashians” and I was really [heavily] pregnant, eight months pregnant, 500 pounds and I looked at my sisters and I said, ‘Guys, when I feel like I have my body back I’m going to do a nude shoot,’ and people were replaying that saying, ‘She warned us.’ ”
But not everyone was hating on Kim, who said her “back hurt for about a week after that shoot” because of the awkward poses. In fact, the E! star said people have been requesting plastic surgery to make their booties to look more like hers, which is a bit “weird” to Mrs. West.
“I’ve seen things online where doctors [are] saying there is a trend and saying, ‘Everyone comes in and asks for your butt,’ ” she shared. “I mean, I don’t know its an Armenian thing. I see it a lot now. I don’t know if it’s trendy, I wouldn’t say I started a trend.”
